Double Your Contribution – The SMS Matching Pledge
Besides its initial outright donation of $500,000 to start an endowment at the SRF, the Strategic Management Society has committed itself to match donations the SRF is able to attract in the coming five years with up to additional $1.3 million. While these additional funds coming from the SMS will all go to grow the endowment at the SRF, the matching pledge is valid for any financial donation the SRF receives from individuals, corporations, consulting firms, foundations, or other institutions in the next five years or until the pledged ceiling is reached. Depending on which portion of the other donations would be usable for immediate funding of research or additions to the endowment, the SRF – if successful in its fundraising efforts – would at the end of the five year period in 2015 have the proceeds of an endowment of $1.8 to $3.1 million available in perpetuity to fund research in the strategic management field.
